I am a service representative with SSA. When people have appointments to file for disability, or for their child's disability there are packets that I send out for them to fill out to prepare for this appointment. Our field office receives hundreds of prefilled envelopes to go out to these claimants. However, I also am also required to go to our e-mailer program and print out a packet for each claimant. This prints out several papers to send out, except that the packet already has these papers. So we are double printing thousands of forms. If the government just sent us blank envelopes, many trees as well as many dollars would be saved.
