Federal fund for school uniforms

Establish a federal fund to pay for school uniforms, making the money available to students of any public school with a policy that students wear uniforms. Enough money for five unitorms per student, earmarked, so the money can't be used for anything else.

A program that provides school uniforms will save money for struggling parents, who won't have to worry about paying for the latest fashions for their darlings to keep up. Schools requiring uniforms will help even the playing field between advantaged and disadvantaged students and hopefully help with bullying, since a poor student wearing a uniform won't be quite as much of a target as a poor student poorly dressed. Uniforms in schools should also help students with discipline and focus, since one source of distraction (wild outfits) will be eliminated.
