Forward Moving -- Focus On High Unemployment Rate While Benefiting Local Communities

With over 450,000 initial Unemployment Insurance claims filed in the week ending July 3 and the number of Unemployment Insurance claims now totaling over 4 million, we should be looking at forward moving ideas that focus on the unemployed and the communities in which they live. I propose including a requirement of performing community service while receiving unemployment benefits. This will not only benefit communities around the country but will also help job seekers enhance their resumes by including these service hours. This will also allow the unemployed to potentially further develop their talents by serving the community while collecting unemployment benefits. Furthermore, with over 4 million unemployed participating in community service, this would translate into huge savings by helping put tax payer dollars back into the local communities in the form of service hours. Let's all continue to build this great nation together.
