This suggestion is for the Schedule A hires in the federal government. As of now nothing as far as assistance other than reasonable accomidation is offered to the disabled employee. Often the employee is in need of additional sick leave that is not available causing stress and work flow shift. I believe schedule A hires should be afforded an additional 2 hours per pay period for sick leave. I know you think this is an expence but in the long run it is a savings. The agency gets a break for hiring a handicap individual and the turnover is reduced.
