Stop Improper Payments for Entitlement and Retirement Benefits

Stop improper payments by requiring federal agencies to verify periodically that individuals are still elegible (including proof of life) to receive federal benefits, such as retirement, social security, and other entitlements. Federal agencies should establish the frequency (e.g., every 3, 5, 7 yrs.) in which they will require such the verification from the individual receiving the benefits.

This would be in addition to any additional electronic checks that could be made prior to issuing the final payment.
