Travel Reform

A detailed look and overhaul of the current travel SOP is needed. SATO is charging outrageous fees for travel reservations, a $29 fee is originally charged to each travel arrangement, and subsequent fees are charged every time a change is made. The government does not receive a discounted rate from the airlines, instead a higher rate is charged when a government fare is purchased. Individuals should be allowed to make their own travel arrangements "least cost to the government" and take advantages of sales. The fees usually charged when a change to a ticket has to be made are usually much less than any government fare. The current government fare offered by most airlines is almost as high as a first class ticket.
