Give a tax credit, or something to that effect, for installing solar panels on your house. Then have an incentive to send energy back to the grid if it isn't used. I'm not quite sure where this is implemented, but I believe it is in Norway. This will also free up money that would've been spent on the electric bill to go back into the economy. Require new 90% efficient solar film be added to all new construction and replacement roofing. The cost to do this should be funded by government loans to be paid by the energy produced savings and that of the energy sold back into the grid. Any energy sell back limits should be removed. The USA should be the energy source for the planet. Use the electric to make hydrogen to fuel the cars or run on electric alone. All... more »
We can use the device in U.S. Patent No. 4,936,961 to make hydrogen on-demand from water. The benefit is that 1) the fuel is plain water (no electrolytes added), 2) it eliminates the need for heavy, expensive hydrogen storage tanks, 3) it uses very little electrical current, 4) Device was featured in Part III of the 1998 BBC documentary “It Runs on Water” with Arthur C. Clarke.
