Outsourced Printing

I suggest you REQUIRE ALL federal agencies to submit printing jobs to the US Government Printing Office thereby saving a great deal of money, time and resources sending print jobs to outsourced contractors such as Kinkos/FedEx.

Freeze Government Salaries

The average federal worker's pay is $71,206, compared with $40,331 in the private sector. http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/news/20091211/1afedpay11_st.art.htm?loc=interstitialskip It used to be that a government job paid a little less but you got more security in exchange. Now government employees get the best of both worlds and the people who have to worry about their jobs get the bill. This is morally wrong... more »

Legalization of illegal immigrants

There are some 14,000,000 illegal immigrants in the US and more will continue crossing the US border. The US must talk other governments to stop illegal crossing by means of agreement. The US would impose a charge for the cost to apprehend, keep in jail and deport plus 35% overhead on the country of origen of the illegal immigrant. The US is spending millions of dollars in manpower patrolling borders, keeping people in... more »

No more Staples and Staplers in Federal Service

Remove all staples and staplers from federal use, and replace them with a "non-staple" alternatives. Due to the increase of PII, more and more documents must be shredded. Since most or all documents are stapled, these must be removed prior to shredding, increasing non-productive workhours. Additionally, the use of staples also increases possible damage to expensive shredding equipment.

Cut back Space Program

I love outer space issues rockets and all but we need the money to stay here and fix our roads, our schools, our systems. Let's not stop completely, just slow down going to Mars, etc. It won't help us. We eat altered foods, drink altered water, breath contaminated air. What good is it for 3 people to go to Mars and come back?

FREE Travel Accommodations

In an effort to SAVE MONEY, ALL government employees should be required to use frequent flyer miles and hotel points to "purchase" government travel accommodations, when the miles and hotel points credits are earned during government travel. Currently, when you travel and earn frequent flyer miles and hotel points, you cannot use the earned points for future government travel. Therefore, I am suggesting that you not... more »

Convert US Coast Guard to a civilian workforce

The US Coast Guard is not unlike any other multi-function agency. They have defense, safety, emergency response, and mission support assets just like ICE, CBP, or FBI. Converting to a civilian government office (which would still be smaller than the NYPD), you could save in travel/relocation costs, retirement, and myriad other costs associated with outfitting an armed force.
