Remove benefits to criminals such as provided cable, any recurring recreational facility or resource costs, and ability to gain wages. Criminals are in prison for a reason, ensure re-offenders are not enticed by providing "cozy" living. Would reduce not only direct costs, but many associated costs incurred through litigation, law enforcement, and rehabilitation.

Military or Jail

Take inmates from jail and train them to be in the military. Inmates that are serving time for crimes such as, murder or child abuse, could serve their time in the military and become better citizens for our country, instead of taking the tax payers money to support these inmates in jail. Exile/Africa or Antartica for non-violent criminal offenders

I suggest deporting persons convicted of non-violent crimes to either Africa or Antartica for life. Why house,feed and incarcerate some one who can be rehabilitated in another country. Australia was colonized by prisoners. We could save billions of dollars and close a few prisons. Every time we give aid to a needy country;we need to send a few prisoners also. They could help that country and no longer be in America.

Higher employee morale, retention and recruitment through social media.

Create social media/radio programs focusing on the jobs of rank and file employees. Many federal employees never get to talk about what they do and their contributions to the betterment of society. They work in anonymity; their contributions unrecognized. The creation of audio programs costs nothing beyond the purchase of equipment and mounting the program on the agency website.
