Enforce Telecommuting

I suggest you enforce telecommuting at least one day per week for all Federal Military and Civilian employees. This will save on commuting costs, time effectiveness… It will help the environment by taking thousands of cars off the roads, and it will increase morale for people not having to waste three to four hours per day commuting.

That’s 55 billion hours per year in the US alone, 9% of the average work-life expectancy, $1.2 trillion of the GDP lost yearly. This could be solved by letting ...more »

Have competent people working on the computers.

Do not have a power outage planned unless you have the correct people to deal with 300 computers breaking down needing new harddrives. It took almost a week to have my computer fixed because the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. Telecom expense management

Following the logic of a government administration, the telecommunication asset is managed by different parties: phone sets is a property item, contracts is a procurement task, bills is financial issue. The general trend worldwide is to centralize the information in one point that has a technical background and analytical behavior to implement “Telecom expense management” solutions. Cell Phone and Cell Phone Plan Savings

This idea will save on cell phone costs, plan costs, and administrative costs. Instead of regulating federally assigned cell phones that employees carry, give the employees a stipend and allow them the freedom to choose a plan that fits the needs of the government and the employee. The employee will be responsible for the phone and plan payments.
