Ban all cafeteria ware - forks, knives, plates, bags, etc - that is not 100% recyclable. Turn all cafeteria trash containers into standardized recyclable receptacles. Require 100% purchasing of subsequent recylced cafeteria ware!
Upgrade government cafeteria food choices to HEALTHY. Stop selling junk food, sodas, high fat and high cholesterol foods in government cafeterias and vending machines. This will improve health, reduce sickness, reduce healthcare costs, and reduce health insurance premiums.
Instead of just planting "pretty" plants, landscapers can have vegetable gardens. The vegetables can be used in the cafeterias, sold to employees or used at soup kitchens.
