GSA Fleet Sharing and Accountability Could Save $6Billion and Environment

GSA has about 212,000 vehicles in its fleet divided among 75 federal agencies. Most of these vehicles are assigned to individuals ie. one vehicle one man. Last year alone, GSA spent $287 Million to buy 17, 205 new vehicles to its fleet bringing the new number to about 220, 205 vehicles. I suggest a new type of proactive solution in the form of an enforcement system to deter the hiring of undocumented workers (illegal aliens, deportable/inadmissible aliens) through self funded economic incentives (monetary rewards) generated by fines. Create a national veteran education benefit contract

Create a national contract for education benefits for veterans - billed to a single payer station in VA (similar to a GSA schedule). Veteran may choose any university where they can be accepted at the negotiated contract rate. Offer veterans incentives to choose lower priced accredited education, such as online programs - and the veteran will receive 25% of cost savings or extended benefits.

We all need to get in the habit of playing our part environmentally by reducing, reusing and recycling our waste, and if it has financial benefits then it is an even bigger bonus. If school uniforms were mandatory in every state, parents should be and would be encoraged to reuse and recycle unifroms and school sports kits because is GREEN AND SAVES MONEY! Investigate/Implement Real Time Pricing for electricity rates for all local, state, federal, DoD facilities to include military, education, etc... 10% annual cost savings realized at Naval Support Activity Panama City FL earned. Quit Paying for External Training When Internal Training on same topic is available!

Although much can be learned from outside organizations, we routinely pay outside agencies to provide training that we offer internally. Why would we invest the time and money to develop our own training seminars if we don't feel they are valuable enough to send our employees to?
