BLUETOOTH EAR PIECE FOR GOVERMENT BLACKBERRY'S SAVE MONEY AND LIVES

At the present time in the DoD you cannot have a blue tooth ear piece have access to a government Blackberry, yet almost every base has a policy the prevents talking on a phone (including a Blackberry) in a government vehicle without one. I know this is a security issue, but if you can Bluetooth a CAC reader to a Government Blackberry you can Bluetooth and ear piece without a higher security risk and lessen the safety ...more »

Department of State

One World Government

The United States shall make every effort to work toward the goal of uniting the entire planet under a new world order. We could bring in more taxpayers from all over the world and end senseless war. Defense would be concerned with defending the planet instead of having to worry about another nation on our own planet.

Recharging Alkaline Batteries is Possible using Solar

I suggest you try and recycle alkaline batteries using the following method. My husband did this at home quite by accident, and it works fantastically for AA alkaline batteries. We have found that we can recharge and recycle alkaline batteries by putting them into our solar outdoor lighting systems instead of the expensive "solar" batteries. I guess the trickle charge is low enough and long enough to perform the job. ...more »

Social Security Administration

A Web application that allows a person to get real-time data on the wait times of local Social Security offices

Although, the Social Security Administration is trying encourage people to use functions online to avoid people coming into field offices, people still come in and wait in lines. If a person has to come in, I think there should be a way that through someone's smartphone or computer they can search for local offices and find out what the average wait time will be. It would help SSA offices and people manage their time ...more »

I suggest you require all vendors to submit electronic invoices verser paper. These electronic invoices can automatically be upload into the accounting systems. The Department of Energy has developed a system that could be used by other agencies. The cost savings could be tremendous and the vendors receive a more timely payment as a result.

Government-wide excess property website

I suggest the implementation of an U.S. government-wide website that allows any government agency to procure excess property for only shipping cost would save the government much money. The site would be comparable to GSA advantage, but purchasers would not have to pay for the item, they would merely have to pay/arrange shipping or pick up. This saving would be immediate. It would give the government the means to stop ...more »

Smoke free Federal Buildlings and Offices occupied by Federal Employees

Make Federal Buildings and Offices occupied by Federal agencies/bureaus smoke free environments. This would include the area surrounding the building. As a result, it would decrease the number of employees taking smoke breaks during the day, ultimately wasting the tax payers money. According the the CDC, 21% of adults over the age of 18 are smokers. The average smoker takes 4-6 smoke breaks per day. If it takes 15 ...more »

Replace Fax Machines with Internet Fax Service to Send & Receive Faxes via Email

Traditional fax machines are extremely wasteful. However, many employees across the government need to send and receive faxes for a variety of reasons. We should replace all fax machines with internet fax services, which provide fax-to-email and email-to-fax capabilities. That means you can receive any fax as an email (comes in just like a scanned document), or send any email or scanned document to a traditional fax ...more »
