RFID Technology for the Department of Health and Human Services

An organization within HHS is currenly studying RFID technology for property management. I suggest and hope that this technology can be fast tracked into service within HHS organization. This will help save thousands of work hours tracking down not scanned items and will provide real time updates of all HHS assets.

Cap Indirect Costs for Grants

Limit indirect costs on grants, co-operative agreements and contracts. Nearly a third of the NIH budget every year is spent on facilities and administrative costs which do not directly contribute to improving the health of the nation.

Capping these costs, requiring cost sharing for some mechanisms, or at least having a standard F&A rate across federal agencies would save hundreds of millions of dollars every year.

Save Billions via reformed Adoption, abortion, and organ donation

First, those considering abortions should be made aware of all available adoption and foster care options in their area and the adoption and foster care approval process should offer more incentives to participants. I suggest you.. Mr. President; The VA has been running their hospitals with their own home-grown VistA for nearly 3 decades. There has been a freeze on the enhancement of this amazing software package which has already saved the government over a billion dollars when it was used as the seed for the DoD Composite Health Care System back in 1986. Eliminate Cosmetic/"Prettying-up" Landscaping

Cut out cosmetic landscaping... each day I see quite a bit of labor and money going into planting decorative trees, flowers, etc at my location alone - just to prettty things up. Imagine if we just stuck to functional landscaping...
