Consolidation of DoD Communications Facilities into a Joint environment

look at consolidation of military main communications facilities into regional Joint Communication Facilities. The Navy has what are called Naval Computer & Telecommunications Area Master Stations (NCTAMS). Under this model, the DoD could employe Joint Computer & Telecommunications Area Master Stations (JCTAMS) strategically placed within the COCOM Areas of Responsibility. UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRATION SOLUTION: SELF FUNDED DETERRENT PREVENTING THE HIRING OF UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS

I suggest a new type of proactive solution in the form of an enforcement system to deter the hiring of undocumented workers (illegal aliens, deportable/inadmissible aliens) through self funded economic incentives (monetary rewards) generated by fines. It will encourage the public to report violators and discourage employers from hiring undocumented workers. A percentage of the fines levied on employers of undocumented ...more »

Get Serious About Base Realignment and Closure

Get serious about BRAC - we have too many military bases where there is no operational mission - many with the overwhelming population of employees being contractors. Putting an umbrella over several bases and calling them a "Joint Base" generates limited savings and saying you closed a base, only to now call it an "annex" to another nearby base offers limited gains, as well. The intent of base realignment and closure ...more »

Consolidated Basic Training

How about a joint service basic training regimine for all branches. Instead of training an Airman, a Soldier, etc, etc, why not train "a military member?" Once they graduate, you send them to a tech school for which ever branch they enlisted in just like normal. Each service could be represented at various training camps so recruits would be exposed to every branch from day one and would work together better as a team ...more »

CONDITIONAL RESIDENT CARDS. A TRUE SOLUTION TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

There are not 100 illegal immigrants in the USA‚Ķ.. There are thousands. A CONDITIONAL RESIDENT CARD should be given to immigrants who DO NOT have a criminal record for murder, rape, DUI, or domestic violence. Those illegal immigrants who, at any point in their stay in the US, committed those crimes, should get DEPORTED to their country of origin right away. Illegal immigrants should pay a fine of $2,000 to $6,000 if ...more »

Joint recruitment and service placement based on need

Stop recruiting seperate services and have a single military recruter who places/offers individuals places in services based on needs of the DOD military as a whole. Much like modern recruiters do for jobs inside the individual services. This will eliminate lop-sided manning and allow consolidation and reduction of the DOD's recruting budget, and better fill the needs of the countrys military as a whole. This will ...more »

Someone see's an ad for "THE" military, goes to "THE" military recruiters office, and then ...more »
