The Social Security Administration mails out millions of letters to beneficiaries each year. I suggest that the Social Security Administration offer beneficiaries the option to receive their letters electronically via e-mail or be able to receive a notification via email/text message and then be able to check their letters online. I suggest you...place all program information in one place. I believe it would be cost effective to have all program information in one place. At this time we receive information for our programs through web training, emails, Federal Notices, State Notices, Amendments and Handbooks that are stored in different locations. Keeping The Public's Trust

If the IRS is charged with protecting and safeguarding the public's private information, wHY does THE IRS SENDS OUT NOTICES SHOWING THE taxpayer's FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, EXPOSING THEM TO POTENTIAL FRAUD AND IDENTITY THEFT WHEN THE NOTICES ARE MISDIRECTED WHEN IF IT WERE A BLANK TAX FORM, THE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IS EXCLUDED FROM THE MAILING LABEL ALTOGETHER. Social Security Notices

Currently claimants receive decisions, changes, and updates on their claims only by mailed paper notices. Nowadays people move between different residences or get there mail in care of somebody else. We currently allow individuals the ability to track their claim on-line, but still mail out the notices.
