If you are unemployed beyond the time limit, you should be able to continue your benefits as long as you volunteer time 24~32 hours a week to a government office or job that will help cover the costs.

 

If you collect welfare of any kind, you also need to volunteer 24-32 hours a week as a condition of continued payments.

Government Jobs for Unemployed and TANIF Recipients

My idea is that you set aside a certain number of government jobs and only make them available to those that are receiving unemployment benefits or on social programs such as TANIF. Not just manual labor (but don't exclude those type of jobs) but good, decent paying jobs so young mothers and fathers can afford to raise their children and improve their quality of life. Teaching in America

WE MUST DO MORE to motivate American school teachers to seek higher education and to stay in our public school systems. Stipends for attaining benchmark years of service experience; tax breaks for educators; MANDATE schools spend more on the kids in school than the citizens who refuse to or do minimal work yet draw social benefit checks.
