utilize deduplication software to seek out and eliminate duplicate entries at this site. There are likely thousands or tens of thousands of man-hours spent on this site looking at duplicate entries. From my observations, though there may be subtle differences in many suggestions, roughly 60% of entries (such as lighting, travel policies, benefits, etc) are duplicate or similar entries. Even by having an individual ...more »
GSA has about 212,000 vehicles in its fleet divided among 75 federal agencies. Most of these vehicles are assigned to individuals ie. one vehicle one man. Last year alone, GSA spent $287 Million to buy 17, 205 new vehicles to its fleet bringing the new number to about 220, 205 vehicles. Each vehicle than requires insurance, gas, toll expenses, parking fees in some instances, violations etc etc. Lest not forget most of ...more »
I suggest a new type of proactive solution in the form of an enforcement system to deter the hiring of undocumented workers (illegal aliens, deportable/inadmissible aliens) through self funded economic incentives (monetary rewards) generated by fines. It will encourage the public to report violators and discourage employers from hiring undocumented workers. A percentage of the fines levied on employers of undocumented ...more »
There are not 100 illegal immigrants in the USA….. There are thousands. A CONDITIONAL RESIDENT CARD should be given to immigrants who DO NOT have a criminal record for murder, rape, DUI, or domestic violence. Those illegal immigrants who, at any point in their stay in the US, committed those crimes, should get DEPORTED to their country of origin right away. Illegal immigrants should pay a fine of $2,000 to $6,000 if ...more »
Change all default typeset to Century Gothic, which saves 30% more ink than Arial. This would result in millions of dollars in savings for the government, with a very simple change.
Do not mislead job applicants by posting job openings to public which already have candidates in mind. This will save tremendously time and cost (time = money), and reduce stress and disappointment for job applicants. I will also save hiring managers' and HR's time for posting such jobs.

I have observed a need for a single, federal government best practices website for federal Information Techonology (IT) projects. The IT best practices website would include best practices related to IT related project management, requirements gathering, risks assessment, IT reference materials, systems testing information, systems training, systems security, and other established IT related best practices. By having ...more »
Technology like webinars and video conferences must be implemented into the federal governmet. These tools allow the amount federal workers travel to significantly decrease. Travel is a very costly part of the federal budget. Many of these types of services, like video conference calling, are at federal sites however they do not seem to be preferred. If a meeting can take place via video or web and have the same productivity ...more »
Australia is a unique among the nations of the world because it originated as a prison island. In the 17th and 18th century the British took their common criminals and other prisoners halfway across the world to Australia. There they would leave them with some supplies, and the prisoners, all alone, began to cultivate the island. Also many of the prisoners became shepherds. They began to raise many, many sheep. Sheep ...more »
There are large expenses in maintaining air traffic control towers - hvac, facilities, engine generators, etc. Also, air traffic controllers are paid high salaries. NATCA would like you to think they are suffering and poor, but the public is not that ignorant. With today's high speed technology and redundancy capabilities, it is possible to simply have a few poles with video cameras placed around the airport, instead ...more »
