Get rid of AHLTA - DOD electric medical record

Get rid of AHLTA and give us VISTA. It takes twice as long to document a visit as it takes to see a patient. (So patient gets approx 7 minutes of the enforced 20 min appt). Give the providers more time to listen to patients and give the patients back the attention of their doctors by getting rid of this gold-toilet-seat program. Documentation standardization for EMR

I suggest development of standardized templates for documentation in the medical facilities. Set templates that meet all regulatory requirements and provide all necessary clinical information would save thousands of hours of computer specialist and clinician time building and revising templates.
