Liquidation of the Environmental Protection Agency

My suggestion would be for the liquidation of the Environmental Protection Agency. This is not a suggestion that the federal government stop comprehensively regulating environmental pollutants, but rather that they leave it up to the states to do so. The White House's control over the EPA subjects the environmental justice of the agency every four or eight years based upon the agenda of Mister President, while the approximate... more »

Teleworking/Carpooling required once a week.

Require all employees of the federal government (e.g., Military, Civil Service, etc.) to telework or carpool once a week. From the 2009 report to congress, telework.gov, "In terms of major barriers to telework, office coverage was highest (48 agencies), followed by management resistance (38), organizational culture (36), and IT security and IT funding (both at 25) (note: agencies could select all that apply)." The President... more »

End of the year funds

The entire fiscal system of the US government needs to be checked. Every agency not just DoD waists millions of dollars each year, at the end of the year, because if your agency does not use all of it’s funds it receives less the next fiscal year. What kind of sense is this? Let’s punish those who save us money? Set up incentives for organizations who save money, reward not punish. The fact that Secretary Gates would... more »

Deploy Vehicle Idle Elimination and/or Reduction Technologies ($300M - $375M in Savings)

Deploy no idle/limited idle time vehicle technologies. Many law enforcement agencies and departments across the country require vehicles to sit at idle for significant periods of time (4-8 hours) during the course of a work day. This idle time is necessary due to hostile environmental conditions (extreme heat or cold) or other operational requirements. Currently, anti idle technologies exist that allow interior enforcement... more »

Stop All Non Humanitarian Foreign Aid

Paying countries for "favor" - especially ones led by military leaders in place from a coup - or led by religious leaders - have not historically paid off for the United States.

We need that money domestically - please, please, stop throwing money to other counties (unless they have a humanitarian need like Haiti, etc) that really are not our friends.

After all you cannot buy true friends!

Innovative Suggestion Website

A federal website should be set up and man by a committee of managerial professionals and scholars. The site will consist of several links for suggestions. (i.e. national disaster, economy, laws, and a general suggestion link) The committee job would be to read through all the suggestions to determine if they are relevant and compile the data for further review. After the suggestions have been tested for its validity... more »

Video Conference for Town Hall Meetings

I suggest the President host webchats/video conferences in town halls instead of actually going to the town on occasion. The security cost would be much less. Secret Service could remain in Washington with the President. The travel expenses of the President via Air Force One would be eliminated. The President would have more time to work, as he is not traveling.
