Offer current federal employees cash retirement incentives

Offer cash retirement incentives for current federal employees who are eligible to retire. In 2007, OPM estimated that approximately 18% of the non-seasonal full-time permanent federal workforce was eligible to retire. By 2010 this was projected to be 36%. Consolidate Job Application Systems

There are too many job application systems dispersed throughout the government. Sometimes different agencies within the same department use different systems. While I agree that sometimes some systems are better than others, there has to be a more standardized approach. Stop Pay Statement Mailings

We can stop all paper pay statements that are being mailed to our homes and have everyone print it out from Employee Express as needed. That will save on postage and paper.

Require Telework on Snow Days

Require Telework on Snow Days. Any Federal employee who telecommutes should be required, unless directed otherwise by management, to telework on days the office is closed for snow (or any other reason), and also automatically allowed to telecommute if there is a delayed opening or liberal leave policy in place, provided the employee properly planned for it.

Part-Time Telework Option for Employees

I suggest that the government implement a part-time telework option for employees who desire to stay home to care for children, elderly parents, or other legitimate reasons approved by the government. This option should be made available on a temporary or permanent basis for selected positions. Hire better Supervisors

Hire smart, innovative New supervisors who can come up with better ways to tackle problems rather than status quo supervisors who don't know any better. The status quo is supervisors spent and still spend too much time travelling to "courses" on government checkbook- More like Golf Courses.
