Eliminate the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

The FDIC requires all participaing institutions to contribute equally, regardless of how many claims they make. This encourages banks to lend irresponsibly. The FDIC only has enough money to make payments on a tiny fraction of the deposits it insures. This creates a false sense of security among depositors. Allow federal employees with a good standing credit and a financial need to receive an interest free loan of upto $30 000 for the duration of upto 5 years. This innitiative will assist many low level GS employees to financially advance and to start contributing to their thrift savings plan.
