Do away with paperwork for the sake of doing paperwork. Not the paperwork reduction act that has a statement on it saying "This page left intentionally blank"
M/NM Mine Inspectors Travel and stay weeks at a time in multiple locations costing between $350.00 and $625.00 per inspector per week in hotel costs alone. In alot of cases the Government could rent houses in certain high travel areas for a quarter of the cost saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in hotel bills.
I am an Office Assistant for DOL/MSHA. Part of my job is to copy the Inspectors reports from thier inspections of mines. Once the copies are made, I mail all original reports to my District Office and I file the copies in our Field Office. I am an Office Assistant for DOL/MSHA. Part of my job is to help the Mine Inspectors find places for them to go to recieve thier annual Occupational Health exams required for thier jobs, which happens to be local Doctor's Offices As it is right now they have to go to local Doctor's offices for these exams.
