Provide more shuttle services to more stops on government facilities. As a DoD Civilian I am required, like many Active Duty Military, to work at different locations on base. Each time using one vehicle for one person to get to a destination. Countless DoD employees are doing this at installations around the world. If there were more shuttles or even golf cart style people carries we could cut our carbon output dramatically ...more »
Allow DOD employees access to base dining facilities, exchanges and commisaries. As a veteran in this economy it is tough to save money and many veterans would rather spend what they have on base. It helps us to save money on food and gas because we would not have to drive off base to a supermarket or restaurant to search for a healthy meal and groceries.
In an effort to save paper, time and money. Convert the VA job application process to an electronic (online) application system. Currently applicants have to submit a paper resume to their local VA HR office. This wastes paper, time and money for the employee as well as their employer.
