Do not prop open doors in Federal buildings in times of extreme heat or cold. Usually the security guards prop open a door to get the wind tunnel effect because they want to cool off as all of the building's cold air goes out the door and they get to feel the breeze as it goes. An easy way to save money is to give government employees the option of choosing a 35 hour work week and receive a corresponding 12% cut in pay. If 50% of employees choose to opt in for this option, the Federal Government would save about 6% in in payroll costs.
