Why are we "paying" veterans to receive medical treatment? I realize this may not be a popular idea for veterans out there,(because you are getting this FREE money), but this is just not right. How on earth do we justify paying veterans, by the mile, to go to Dr.'s appointments and treatment? There are always exceptions for disabled and veterans not able to get to an appointment. But to just throw money at veterans ...more »
One example is the new 3 season jacket increased in price this year over 200%. We were told prices went up because the uniform items are now made in America. If so, why do they still say "Made in Mexico"?
I suggest you...let TSA Officers give their shifts to other Officers (same gender and qualifications). This would greatly reduce lost time as well as provide flexibility in Officers schedules. The major airlines have been doing this for decades for one reason, it works! It's a win win for all involved. I suggest the elimination of travel vouchers for retired military members to get health care. It is crazy to "pay" veterans to get medical treatment. It is a great benefit to get the medical treatment at little or no cost, but to pay veterans (per mile) to get treatment is a huge waste of money.
Currently at TSA if an Officer voluntarily self-demotes they mantain the higher level of pay. I have seen Officers self-demote yet continue to receive the pay they were receiving prior to the self-demotion.

Are we trying to prevent a threat, or just look like we are?
There are many security concerns and processes that just do not work. Nobody is listening, and it is extremely frustrating for those of us that take our job seriously. TSA is living up to the "security theater" that we are often accused of!
Model TSA's IdeaFactory off of the SAVE Award format. The IdeaFactory is not user freindly at all! This format is much easier to utilize.
At TSA, there are many employees that have no business working for the government or with the public.
There needs to be some way to properly evaluate their interpersonal skills, or lack thereof, and address this issue.
There are many, many Officers at TSA with experience in law enforcement, corrections, security and airport backgrounds not to mention degrees, up to and including masters degrees.
These resources are not being utilized, too often Officers are being promoted based on who they know and not what they know.
Reduce or eliminate the additional pay provided for active military for getting married. Especially in the case where both parties are in the military, then BOTH are getting pay increases.
