There are too many SAVE Award suggestions in total for most of us to be able to go through all of them when voting. Why not instead implement a 2-stage voting process. The first round would be what’s happening now, but the suggestion here is to then add a 2nd round of voting on just the top 20 (or 50) vote getters from the first round – to narrow it down to the 4 or 5 finalists. I see frequent use of commercial overnight delivery services to mail or ship materials for which there is no corresponding time urgency. My recommendation here is to make use of the U.S. Postal Service the standard practice, with at least a basic statement of justification required for either non-USPS transit or more-expensive-than USPS First Class Mail cost.
Enhance commitment to cost efficiency in transportation of government employees and materials. Regarding the former, there appear to be many cases where commercially available airfares are significantly less expensive than corresponding “government” fares.
