Look at the way we buy materials. There are often instances where we need something that could be purchased at a Home Depot for less than $10, but we end up paying hundreds of dollars for it through some contract. I realize there are requirements for bidding and such, but that kind of price inflation is ridiculous. How does this help anyone but the company selling an item for tens or hundreds of times its value?
