Remove automatic claimant letters from the VA systems by making them an option selected by the employee instead of automatically generated with no option to remove. Many a claim has multiple letters or requests needed to be performed and when 3 copies of the automatic claimant letter is generated for each and every request it does nothing but waste paper. Only one claimant letter is needed for each collective action (ie: private provider treatment records requests). I have been saving my wasted automatic claimant letters for the past month and I have over 200 wasted sheets of paper. Multiply that by the amount of VBA employees and the savings in paper waste per year would be beyond significant by making one simple change to the computer system.
