The Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) mandated by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires federal agencies to standardize desktop configurations. Currently testing for the FDCC is being done agency by agency, and in some agencies is being done at even finer levels so that there is much duplication. It seems to me that it would save considerable time if applications were tested for FDCC compliance at a single source for all agencies. Frankly either the software is FDCC compliant, or it is not. Testing the same software in the same environment several times across all agencies seems like a sizeable waste of time, and money.
