Civilian/Contract Workers

Minimize the amount of contractors hired to perform duties that trained military members can perform. This would save money and allow fellow service members to obtain and or utilize their training at a much smaller expense to the Government. For instance, if there is need to have a Port Security Specialist at a unit, there is NO reason to have a civilian fulfill that job at 04 times the amount that a trained Petty Officer or Commissioned Officer would get paid. There is also greater accountability and less liability for “in house” trained military personnel to complete a job as opposed to a overpaid contractor/civilian.
