I think the federal government should allow, or mandate at least 30 to an hour some sort of exercise during work hours. This will improve ergonomic issues; less workers compensation related to poor behind desk posture, which lead to less leave time, as a result, it will increase productivity. In the private industry, some companies have implemented a program that gives employees 30 minutes to 1 hour exercise time. The companies have seen a great result from this program; their productivity went up significantly which resulted from in conjunction of less time off from work and healthier employees. Basically messages will pop-up on the computer monitor advising time for stretch or walk around. I believe this will be a great program that will save the Federal Government lots of money in longer run.
