If it costs 3 million to build a bridge make the bidder pay for the extras not the taxpayer.

If the Gov't hires a contractor to build a bridge, pave a road or dig a tunnel into a major city like Boston, hold them accountable for everything including their own personal overspending. For example the "Big Dig" was supposed to cost 3 million dollars instead it cost over 13 million dollars. If they bid 3 million make them pay the other 10 million to finish the job, it's their own stupid fault for underbidding! Same goes for other construction projected contracted out by our Gov't. Make them give a real bid not an underflated bid just so they get the job. How many Trillions wold we save for that idea?
