In this day and age 57 is still young. Both of these organizations are still growing at a rapid pace and the leadership positions within these organizations need seasoned leadership. To avoid the "Brain Drain" that is occurring and keep younger and more CBPOs and Border Patrol agents in the field where they are needed, certain jobs within the organization, at Headquarters and abroad, should be able to be filled with operational agents and officers that may also be over the age of 57. Many of jobs at the headquarters could effective be filled with these officers and agents offering the operational experiece needed to run great agency.
