I suggest that homes subject to being foreclosed upon, be considered for occupancy by those qualifying for affordable housing. If the government is willing to pay for housing, perhaps the banks will accept that payment; have the property occupied and owner be subject to something lesser than a total loss of property or financial hardship. Currently banks are losing once taking ownership, properties are vacant and dilapidating, while folks are without suitable and affordable homes to rent during difficult times and home owners are experiencing financial ruin from which many will not recover for years to come. This would offer a win, win, win verses a Bank-loose, home owner-loose, and community-loose present day option.
