Elected Public Officials CAN NOT be allowed to give themselves Increased Benefits and Pay without public approval

Elected Public Servants can not vote for their own pay raises and benefits.

If a public election put someone in office then a public vote should be required to approve any increases to salary, bonus, holiday, health, and retirement benefits.

A government of the people, for the people, by the people, not the privledged.

Why? I make salary. If I am hear 50 hours a week or 39 hours a week I am... more »

Voluntary donation program for employee bonuses

Federal bonuses are great incentives for performance, but it is also coming straight out of the taxpayer's pocket. To get back to the true spirit of public service, my idea is to establish a voluntary donation program for federal employee bonuses, particularly in the Washington, DC metro area, where pay grades are slightly inflated. Employees can donate any amount of their bonuses on a voluntary basis to 1. Federal deficit... more »
