minimize paper and time with e-signatures

I am a new employee, so I may be wrong, but it seems like alot of resources (time, paper. etc) are wasted routing a document to as many as 20 people to sign, then copying and sending a copy to each person to keep. Wouldn't it be far more efficient to have e-signatures, perhaps like the ones used at the store when you make credit card purchases, and a central electronic location for document storage and retrieval. Eliminate Paper, then Learn to Use Technology, then Employees will Work More Efficiently, then the Workforce will Embrace Telewo

If all Agencies eliminate paper, the cost savings in supplies, cabinets, printers, maintenance, and waste will be enormous. With paper eliminated, Agencies would be forced to use technology (ie, Cloud Computing, Social Networking) to accomplish tasks. Technology exists to completely replace a paper system. Stop Ordering Phone Books

Stop ordering pallets of local phone books! Send an email for request, and then obtain an exact number requested, no more. We will find that most people do not need or want a phone book, and many only take it because it is sitting there so they feel they might as well, but they would never have gone out of their way to request it because they don't need it. Save the money and the paper.
