Do away with the Physical fitness and wellness program for civilians. We let them go to the gym 3 hrs per week and then end up letting them work overtime or comp time to make up the work they missed. Trying to set up a meeting to work around gym time is a waste of effort. We need to be productive and there is no data to show that this program is returning any value. Raise the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) limits back up to $5000. Most people can't go long form (Schedule A) for medical expenses and people that have special needs children go through that money in the first 5 months of the year.

I suggest you charge organizations fees for licensing and maintaining radio frequencies. The users can be charged a fee based on time and KHz of bandwidth used. The reason is the radio spectrum is a natural resource and maintaining this resource efficiently is costly to both the Dept of Commerce and FCC. Maybe this would encourage users to be more efficient and vendors to narrowband equipment.

That the government support more Wellness Programs for its employees, through which they are provided certain hrs of regulated admin time to focus on wellness activities, such as walking, running, gym, meditation, and health semenars. I suggest we change the law and allow federal employees to take a leave of absence so that they can run for office.

I suggest all government employees shut down their computers at the end of their duty day. If system upgrades need to be updated conduct them each day at a certain time.

I suggest reforming the rules on lobbying Members of Congress in the following ways:

1.) Lobbying members of Congress may only be performed by individual United States citizens, and not corporations or any other organized entity, governmental or non-governmental.
2.) Individual United States citizens whose annual income is below the United States annual per capita income may be permitted to lobby members of Congress.... more »

Every govt agency now has a website. How many have online services that are used by the public .. How is the performance being measured? How is the customer feedback captured? How are the services advertised? Who is reading and responding to suggestions?

I suggest the government go paperless on all Leave and Earning Statements. Individuals can download their statements via MyPay...no need to send in mail.

A continuity document should be created by each employee/contracor and placed on the current collaboration drive to assist new employees to provide a smooth transition. This will help with records management, redundancy and loss of knowledge. A list of projects should be posted to avoid repetition.

I suggest caring be shown for all employees who are ill, especially all those with serious conditions who still come to work, are diligent and go beyond the norm to get their work done. Is having management, who are not medical professionals, negate legitimate doctor's notes because they are not specific enough, and harassing a sick, but productive individual detracts from us being a "family" willing to help each other... more »

Of course, we want to motivate our employees in a healthy environment!, encouraging the employee's loyalty and good service to their team(s) and the public. Instead of getting expensive chairs for certain areas of employees, get those employees who have legitimate muscular-skeletal issues actual ergonomic, sturday chairs with a long life.

When providing local training of persons new to positions, there should be a manual with lesson plans and exercises with answer keys for the trainer(s), just as I've seen in most educational institutions. The trainer is usually not an experienced professional educator, and likely has been assigned this duty in addition to all the regular duties of their position (with backlog perhaps).
