Nuclear powered hover crafts elminates the need for constructing new roads, the dependance on fossil fuels, destruction of earth's atmosphere is contained, air polluition is reduced significantly, allows for faster more acurate transportation. Creates jobs.
When ever there is severe weather such as a hail storm coming within reaching distance of any base, I suggest moving all Gov't Vehicles under cover. How many thousands, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars can the Gov't save if each Gov't Vehicle on each base missed just one hail storm? Imagine, how much the Gov't could save if they all missed every hail storm.
I propose that bases that share an airfield with a civilian Airport have a shuttle service from the base straight to the airport allowing members to leave their cars on base and not incure a $10-$25 per day per vehicle charge that the Government picks up the tab for.
On all the Federally sponsored highway projects, we always see these large orange signs that say "your highway tax dollars hard at work....". Recommendation: get rid of these signs! Who reads them? And really who cares what portion of funding was provided by the federal government vs the state? You could eliminate millions of dollars a year and NO ONE would miss these sign! Thank you.
Create a single travel order system for all Government agencies. Have the Dept. of Transportation be in charge of the system, and eliminate all the other systems. This would stream line the process and be more efficient. There would be no need for SATO, and several other vendors to the Government. In the end saving the Government millions.
Vehicle inspections should be eliminated. They should just have cars tested for emissions at local garage. There should be a permanent driver's license and registration for one fee and does not expire. This would be state wide and would save a ton of money.
With today's high speed technology and redundancy capabilities, it is possible to simply have a few poles with video cameras placed around the airport, instead... more »
The Family-School Partnership Act (Labor Code Section 230.8) is a California law that allows parents, grandparents, and guardians time off from work to participate in their children's school or child care activities. A similar policy should be in effect, as an added employee benefit to attract and retain employees.
