I suggest you enforce telecommuting at least one day per week for all Federal Military and Civilian employees. This will save on commuting costs, time effectiveness… It will help the environment by taking thousands of cars off the roads, and it will increase morale for people not having to waste three to four hours per day commuting.

Instead of regulating federally assigned cell phones that employees carry, give the employees a stipend and allow them the freedom to choose a plan that fits the needs of the government and the employee. The employee will be responsible for the phone and plan payments.

With all the discussion around being able to communicate better, effectively, and more efficiently with regards to cost. I would propose that government revolutionize its entire communication media (i.e. polycom, conventional digital voice system to commercial videophone technology with conference capability at each office with savings up to 40%.

I suggest you plan farther award to award contacts to contracting organizations. By giving them more lead-time, they will have more advance notice and be able to charge less.
Stop having companies create surveys and other internet related items. We have plenty of government employees that can do the same thing and save money at the same time since we are not paying a ridiculous amount of money to have someone else to do it for us.
