CONVERSION FROM THE NSPS PAY SECDULE BACK TO THE GS PAY SCHEDULE.

As part of the conversion from NSPS back to the GS pay schedule, any employee that would be being paid at a rate over the top step in the GS grade they would be going back to, would be automatically be placed into the next higher grade level at the appropriate step equivalent to their present pay. Computer Printers -Cartridge Expense/Government Wide

I suggest that 90% of printers for computers in government use do not need color printers. Printers should be developed for government use with black only cartridges. These cartridges could be made to have 3 times the amount of ink they hold now. The amount of money spent on ink cartridges for computer printers is astronomical.

Reimbursement for other than motorized transportation.

Save travel costs, energy costs, go green, and increase health of federal employees by providing low cost non-motorized transportation reimbursements rather than only providing the current high cost motorized vehicle use rates. If, as an example, just a couple percent of federal employees would use bicycles, small-wheeled transport, wheelchairs, kayaks, walking, etc. that could be reimbursed at 10 cents per mile instead... more »

Use USPS NOT FedEx for Government Savings and Security

At USDA/NASS we use FedEx all the time for packages and envelopes, especially for 'priority' deliveries. It’s no secret that the USPS is suffering. To effectively reduce costs across government, why not create one special Cost Cutting Officer (Presidential Appointment) to oversee each agency (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial). Stop sending Aid to 3rd world countries and outsourcing, keep the money at home why help a person 15,000 miles away when we have people in need right next door that need the same help, we have starving people, homeless people, kids dropping out of school, crappy health systems, if all the aid sent out to other countries were pooled into this one we would be able to eliminate homelessness, starvation and maybe get everybody... more »

I am a member of the National Guard and have heard a lot of complaints about members not being able to complete their mission essential tasks in regards to training and actual on the job training with their specific job descriptions, example: construction equipment operators not being able to get enough stick time on equipment, carpenters not being able to build structures etc, in general the armories and training sites... more »

Lead by Example for Voluntary LWOP

During instances when a federal office implements voluntary LWOP to meet pay commitments, strongly suggest (in policy) that management lead by example with at least 1 day per month for the duration of the voluntary LWOP campaign. This demonstration of good faith preserves morale, and should close the budget gap more quickly.
